Your margin depends on how well you judge what is in front of you. Misjudge the item or the seller and the loss is yours.
Every product has its own check

Appraisal
Section titled “Appraisal”Use the magnifying glass to check an item’s details, condition, seals and lettering. You can also appraise items for customers and take a commission.
Haggling
Section titled “Haggling”Push sellers down and buyers up, but every bargain has a trade-off. Suppliers overstate value, customers push their luck, and problems with contraband often show up only after you’ve paid.
Choosing your customers
Section titled “Choosing your customers”For each deal you can approve, refuse, report the customer or look away. Someone is always watching, and each choice shifts your reputation.
Shady margins
Section titled “Shady margins”- Cut a product’s quality.
- Relabel counterfeits as genuine; the arrogant elite make good marks.
- Buy stolen goods cheap and fence them.
- Take advantage of the poor, or help them.
Security is not the only danger. Mob justice exists in the Lower Levels.
Supplies and licenses
Section titled “Supplies and licenses”- Order supplies by phone.
- Some customers barter instead of paying cash.
- Advanced licenses unlock the underground market.
