Looking for good mods for the Steam version of Probably Stolen? Start with the community picks below, from small convenience changes to new perks and expanded storage.

Checked September 16, 2026. These are Nexus Mods downloads, installed separately from Steam. We could not verify a Steam Workshop catalog for the game. In an August 30 Steam reply, the developer said the full game would support modding and directed playtest players to Nexus and the official Discord. That reply does not confirm Steam Workshop integration.

We selected eight mods with at least 8 endorsements from the Nexus catalog sorted by endorsements. Counts below were read from the live listings and individual author pages on the check date. This is a curated shortlist, ordered by endorsements, rather than every entry in the ranking.

Endorsements are players’ positive recommendations, not Steam star ratings or a positive-review percentage. The community is still small: even the leading mod had only 30. Features and compatibility below are author-reported; the wiki has not tested these mods in-game.

For convenience, look at Convenience Module or More Storage Colors first. For a different playthrough, compare Wage’s Perks and More Features Mod. Choose Inspector-assistant only if you want the inspection answers revealed. These are recommendations by purpose, not a claim that the mods work together.

Compatibility notes

• Wage’s Perks: Demo support stated by author. Current listing: v1.2.1. A substantial gameplay expansion; the latest notes request MelonLoader 0.8.0+, while older installation text still says 0.7.3+. Check the current file’s requirements.
• Inspector-assistant: Requirements still name Playtest 0.46D, Windows x64 and MelonLoader 0.7.3 Open-Beta, despite a September 14 update. Demo compatibility is unverified. Reveals information you normally investigate yourself.
• More Features Mod: Listing: v1.7.18DEMO; author names “Demo 0.46D” and MelonLoader 0.7.3 Open-Beta. That version label differs from this wiki’s 049-Rev3-L build. Do not combine with the author’s standalone Precision Bay Expansion; removing the mod mid-save may damage perk or container data.
• Container Upgrade: v0.9.4; requires MelonLoader 0.7.x. No explicit current-demo confirmation found. Changes storage progression; avoid combining container overhauls without checking their compatibility.
• ExtraPerks: v0.2.2, last updated August 25; requires MelonLoader. Start a new run to use the perks. Current-demo compatibility is unverified.
• Mod Manager: v1.1.1; description still names Playtest and MelonLoader. Enabling or disabling mods requires restarting. This is a settings tool, not a replacement for the mod loader.
• More Storage Colors (and themes): v1.1.0; requires MelonLoader 0.7.x. Current-demo compatibility is unverified. An appearance-focused option rather than a capacity upgrade.
• Convenience Module: v1.1; requires MelonLoader. Water details still require owning an AquaScan; click-to-advance needs automatic dialogue advancement turned off. Current-demo compatibility is unverified.

Before installing

1. Check your game build against the author’s current Files, Description and Posts tabs. A recent upload or a high endorsement count does not establish compatibility with the demo. This wiki’s game data uses 049-Rev3-L; some mod pages use different version labels.
2. Back up your save and try one mod at a time on a separate run. Mods that add perks or enlarge containers can leave data in saves; do not assume removing a DLL restores the original save.
3. Follow each author’s loader and installation instructions. The mods above use MelonLoader, but required versions differ. Use the official MelonLoader project and the linked author pages for downloads. A Steam installation does not install these mods automatically.
