Eleanor

Eleanor

Eleanor expects her stay in the Lower Levels to be temporary. Her mother, who runs the station’s biggest hydroponic farm, has been jailed for embezzlement. Eleanor is certain someone will put things right.

  1. Fresh food: she criticizes the shop, asks for fresh, varied food and insists the authorities made a mistake.
  2. Settling in: still barred from returning upstairs, she rents a small room opposite the Commissary and buys household supplies.
  3. Selling possessions: her money is running out. She brings belongings to sell while hoping she can clear the family name.
  4. Asking for food: after a thief takes her remaining funds and her mother’s trial ends in conviction, she asks for anything you can spare.
  5. Starting again: in the later visit, she says a roommate taught her to scavenge. She brings finds to sell and begins to appreciate the community around her.

Help her during the food request to enable her later scavenger visit. The successful donation callback increments her help counter; the scheduler checks that it is above zero before adding the later scene. Her request is made with a zero budget.

That condition is separate from her earlier paid purchases. Merely selling food to her on the first visit does not establish that you helped at the donation scene.

Eleanor believes someone in the Upper Levels framed her mother, but that is her suspicion. The inspected sequence reaches Eleanor’s new work as a scavenger. It does not establish a playable investigation, a way to free her mother, or a later reward for doing so.

See Upper Levels for the faction she comes from and Stories & special encounters for other recurring characters.
