Water & purifier reference

Use this page to look up water and purifier numbers. For a practical walkthrough, start with the water-trading guide.

  1. 1. Test first

Use testing strips before trusting the seller’s label.

  2. 2. Choose treatment

A pitcher and a purifier do different jobs; dirty water may need pretreatment.

  3. 3. Choose the use

Ordinary water sales, wine and in-game happy-water trading are different routes.

For the new tutorial’s returning-customer strategy, see the happy-water trading guide. The water and machine figures below remain available for reference.

The water system defines these six contaminant types:

  • Organic waste
  • Microbes
  • Physical contaminants
  • Chemical contaminants
  • Minerals
  • Heavy metals

For drinking water, minerals count against the purity figure like the others.

The purifier’s Quality bonus lowers each contaminant’s minimum remaining concentration. Performance contributes to how much can be removed per run.

Lower multipliers permit lower contamination limits. They are neither final water purity nor the percentage removed per run. Below 15 Quality, the multiplier is 1: the purifier can still remove contamination above its default limit. At 200 it becomes 0, but removal per run is still bounded.

This is not the resulting water purity. Removal per run also depends on Performance, starting contamination and volume; repeated runs may be needed.

Quality 75 and 99 have the same limit multiplier. Whether more Quality is worth fitting depends on the water, Performance and other module effects; the thresholds alone do not establish a universal best-value build.

Choose filters that treat the contaminants shown in your water reading. Check the machine’s condition as you work; we have not confirmed how much wear each batch causes.
